Customer Service Representative

About the role

Hardie's Fresh Foods is seeking a motivated Customer Service Representative to join its growing team. You will be the first point of contact for customers, handling inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring a high level of service that reflects the company’s 80‑year reputation for quality.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls, emails, faxes and voicemails, and accurately enter orders into the system.
• Run production reports for the warehouse team as needed.
• Notify customers of out‑of‑stock items and suggest suitable substitutions.
• Collaborate with the outside sales team to report irregularities and resolve issues.
• Direct calls to the appropriate internal departments.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Assist with special orders, price lists, and credit approvals.
• Provide backup coverage for sales associates and support AR/AP functions.
• Participate in sales meetings and other assigned projects.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or higher.
• 2‑4 years of experience in the meat industry.
• Minimum 4 years of customer service or sales experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Spanish is a plus.
• Team‑player attitude, self‑motivated and able to multitask under pressure.

Required skills

• Experience with the Canopy system (preferred).
• Strong computer and technology proficiency.
