About the role
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Sales Development Manager to grow its Environmental & Process Monitoring business within the fast‑expanding data‑center sector. You will act as a trusted advisor to hyperscalers, colocation providers, government bodies and other key stakeholders, helping them meet evolving environmental monitoring standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop strategic relationships with hyperscalers (AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta), colocation providers, government agencies, utility providers, EPC contractors, integrators and major electrical OEMs.
- Understand and influence government policies, monitor emissions and other asset concerns that affect data‑center uptime.
- Sell consultatively by linking technical monitoring solutions to business outcomes such as reliability, compliance, reduced risk and lower operating costs.
- Build a healthy pipeline through prospecting, networking, industry events and strategic account development.
- Collaborate with sales, product management, marketing and technical support to win complex opportunities.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of B2B sales experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical or related industries.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business.
- Strong understanding of CDMO/CRO services and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and executive‑level communication skills.
- Experience structuring complex deals and managing strategic accounts.
- Proficiency with CRM systems (especially Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen to assess market opportunities.
- Ability to travel up to 50% for customer meetings and industry events.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and collaborating across functions.
