Custodian Supervisor

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Custodian Supervisor in Fort Gordon, Georgia. The supervisor provides team lead oversight and performs custodian duties throughout the facility, balancing workforce management with hands-on technical execution.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the custodial team and build daily task sheets, assigning cleaning zones for shift coverage
• Train, mentor and guide custodian staff, evaluate their performance and give feedback
• Schedule and assign tasks, inspect facilities and resolve custodian-related issues professionally
• Ensure custodians have the right area and key access, and schedule office access for cleaning or vacuuming on customer request
• Monitor supply levels, place reorders and keep stock for daily operations
• Remove and dispose of trash 2-3 times daily, keep floors and common areas clear, and clean and vacuum under desks, hallways, conference rooms and workspaces several times per week
• Sweep, mop and sanitize bathroom and kitchenette floors, and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain or maintain a government-issued clearance at application
• 1-3 years of experience supervising custodians, janitors or environmental service workers
• 1-3 years of experience building schedules, managing inventory and allocating task sheets
• Ability to read, write and understand facility security instructions and chemical hazard warnings
• Physical ability to stand, walk and move for a full shift, bend and kneel, and lift and carry equipment and full trash bins
