CST Certified Surgical Tech - Operating Room, Full-Time Evening Shift

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for its operating room in Parker, Colorado. The position is full-time and scheduled for evening shifts. The surgical tech anticipates the surgeon's needs, prepares supplies and equipment, monitors aseptic technique and supports patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and keep the circulating nurse informed throughout a procedure
• Assemble all necessary supplies, equipment and medications before the procedure
• Maintain high standards of quality and support cost savings and containment
• Monitor aseptic technique of the whole surgical team and act immediately on any break in technique
• Support customer and employee satisfaction activities and maintain good relationships with physicians, management and other departments
• Respond to complaints in a timely manner and perform other duties as assigned

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent (required); associate degree preferred
• Successful completion of an accredited surgical technology program
• Minimum of 1 year of recent OR CST experience (required)
• 2+ years of technical experience in the field preferred
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Technologist (NTSC), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and adapt to change

Required skills

• Aseptic/sterile technique and knowledge of surgical instrumentation
• Knowledge of common healthcare concepts, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Clear communication, attention to detail, multitasking and teamwork

Pay range: $24.68 - $45.91.
