Critical Care Transport Paramedic

About the role

The Critical Care Transport Paramedic provides immediate medical treatment to critically ill or injured patients during interfacility or scene transports. Working on a 12‑hour rotating shift, the role requires rapid decision‑making and coordination with hospital staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate medical treatment to critically ill or injured patients throughout interfacility or scene transport.
• Navigate an ambulance to respond to emergency calls and ensure safe transport.
• Assess the nature and extent of illness or injury, administer appropriate emergency care, and communicate with hospital medical personnel.
• Document observations, follow directives, and complete hand‑off reports at the receiving facility.

Required profile

• Current EMT‑P certification in the State of Ohio or National Registry.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications upon hire.
• U.S. passport, NIMS IS‑100/200 within 6 months, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months.
• International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) provider and advanced ITLS within 6 months.
• Flight Paramedic Certification (FP‑C) within 24 months.
• Minimum three years of EMT‑P experience, including airway management.
