Credit Specialist (French Speaking)

About the role

United Rentals is seeking a French‑speaking Credit Specialist to join its Credit Management team in the Charlotte, NC metro area. You will act as the primary liaison between customers and branches, helping to assess, negotiate, and collect on open account receivables while maintaining positive relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Meet established goals and metrics defined by the Credit Playbook and Credit Management team.
• Contact customers via phone, email, fax, and automated letters to collect past‑due balances.
• Collect, review, evaluate, and prepare credit recommendations for the Credit Supervisor.
• Assist in negotiating payment arrangements and plans.
• Communicate progress and concerns regularly with the Credit Management team.
• Collaborate with field operations to resolve billing issues, disputes, and documentation requests.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 3‑5 years of finance experience, preferably in collections.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
• Ability to complete complex account reconciliations with a customer‑focused approach.
• Experience with web‑based workflow solution software preferred.
• Excellent math, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Superior organizational and time‑management skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
