Credit Services Associate

About the role

HD Supply is hiring a Credit Services Associate in Jacksonville, FL. The associate responds to inbound calls and other inquiries about general account information, gathers and translates customer account and internal data so that receivables can be collected, and helps ensure on-time delivery of orders.

Key responsibilities

• Enter customer selections accurately and on time into the order processing system.
• Monitor and track customer orders according to credit and collection standards to ensure on-time delivery.
• Answer general account inquiries by phone, e-mail and fax, and follow up to meet customer expectations.
• Document notes and gather information using business systems.
• Resolve customer issues, including processing adjustments on late charges and overages/shortages within pre-established guidelines.
• Perform monthly department audits, including call assessments, proper account notation, updating account records with accurate contact information and timely responses to inquiries.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Ability to select the correct process from prescribed rules, past practice or instructions, and to seek guidance from a supervisor on non-routine situations.
• Work is done under close supervision with limited independent judgment; work is mostly indoors, with occasional movement and no travel required.
