Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst

About the role

Join Continental Finance Company’s Operations team as a Credit Bureau Reporting Analyst. You will investigate complex financial disputes, including application fraud and bankruptcy filings, ensuring accurate reporting to credit bureaus.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve disputes involving application fraud claims and bankruptcy filings.
• Analyze transaction patterns, account activity, and supporting documentation to assess legitimacy.
• Submit Automated Universal Dispute forms (AUDs) via e‑OSCAR to credit reporting agencies.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to gather information for dispute resolution.
• Research bankruptcy cases using Pacer and other court record systems.
• Document findings and investigative steps in the system of record.
• Coordinate with Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax to resolve disputes.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance, and risk teams on escalated cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, criminal justice, risk management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1+ years of experience in fraud investigations, credit reporting disputes, or consumer dispute resolution within financial services.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements consistently.

Required skills

• Experience with e‑OSCAR and Automated Universal Dispute (AUD) forms.
• Familiarity with credit bureau reporting and dispute processes.
• Proficiency in researching bankruptcy cases via Pacer or similar court record systems.
