Corporate Tax Manager

About the role

The Corporate Tax Manager will lead U.S. income tax compliance, planning, and reporting for Nikon. Working closely with Finance, Accounting, internal stakeholders and external advisors, the role ensures accurate filing, provision calculations and risk management across federal, state and local tax obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file federal, state and local corporate income tax returns.
• Develop detailed workpapers and support schedules for tax compliance and year‑end calculations.
• Lead the quarterly and annual tax provision process (ASC 740/IAS 12), including current and deferred tax calculations.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and subsidiaries on estimates, extensions, audits and technical issues.
• Research U.S. tax regulations, summarize findings and advise internal decision‑makers.
• Manage responses to tax notices, information requests and audits.
• Monitor legislative changes and evaluate their impact on the company.
• Drive process improvements, automation and documentation to enhance compliance and J‑SOX controls.
• Support internal and external audits, and contribute to training and knowledge transfer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ASC 740 (U.S. GAAP) and IAS 12 (IFRS) tax accounting standards.
• Experience with corporate income tax compliance and provision processes.
• Ability to research and interpret federal and state tax regulations.
• Strong documentation and control skills to support J‑SOX compliance.
