Corporate Security Engineer

About the role

Airwallex, the AI-native financial operating system used by more than 675,000 businesses, is hiring a Corporate Security Engineer to work from its San Francisco office. The role defends enterprise systems and employees against malware, phishing and unauthorised access, detecting, investigating and preventing security issues across digital forensics, incident response, security tooling, endpoints, identity providers, corporate networks and other IT platforms. Three days per week must be spent in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and evaluate corporate security controls that reduce risk as the business grows.
• Investigate malware, phishing and other incidents through digital forensics, incident response and threat hunting across log sources.
• Build security alerts and workflows that strengthen the incident response lifecycle.
• Secure corporate IT infrastructure and remediate issues across identity providers, endpoints, corporate networks and other platforms.
• Deploy, configure and operate security tooling with a focus on measurable impact.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a similar field.
• 3+ years of experience in a security engineering or incident response role within a technology company.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical security concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, quality-driven, and able to work across time zones with a globally distributed team.

Required skills

• Strong experience with CrowdStrike, Splunk or other common security monitoring tools.
• Experience securing endpoints, including with MDM tooling such as Kandji or Intune.
• Preferred: GCP, Alibaba Cloud or other cloud platforms; Okta, Google Workspace and cloud-based VPNs; scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
