Corporate Legal AI Strategic Business Development Lead

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional with a passion for AI to lead strategic business development for LexisNexis AI solutions. In this client‑facing position you will partner with in‑house legal teams at Fortune 1000 companies, helping them adopt tailored AI‑driven workflow tools that streamline their daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and nurture executive relationships with General Counsels, Chief Legal Officers and Legal Operations leaders.
• Conduct deep discovery sessions and deliver customized product demonstrations aligned to specific in‑house legal use cases.
• Translate complex AI capabilities into clear, outcome‑focused benefits for legal stakeholders.
• Strengthen LexisNexis’ market perception as a trusted AI partner for corporate legal departments.
• Research customers, competitors and market trends to shape sales strategy and messaging.
• Drive revenue growth by acquiring new accounts and expanding existing ones.
• Monitor workflow implementations and provide regular progress updates in collaboration with product specialists.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) degree.
• Minimum three years of in‑house legal experience at a Fortune 1000 company, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong executive presence and ability to establish long‑term relationships with senior decision‑makers.
• Solid understanding of in‑house legal processes, challenges and how AI is reshaping them.

Required skills

• Fluency in AI concepts and their application to legal workflows.
