Corporate Counsel & Director, Legal Services – Litigation

About the role

Greystar is looking for a Corporate Counsel & Director, Legal Services – Litigation to join its General Litigation & Disputes team. Reporting to the Senior Director, you will provide in‑house legal support for high‑volume, multi‑jurisdictional litigation matters across the multifamily and real‑estate portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal analysis and practical guidance on litigation, dispute, contract, and risk‑related issues.
• Engage, coordinate, and oversee outside counsel, monitoring matter status, strategy, budgets, and reporting.
• Review outside counsel invoices for accuracy, consistency, and compliance.
• Support internal investigations, gather information, prepare timelines, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses, summaries, and memoranda.
• Manage dispute and claim intake through resolution, tracking deadlines and supporting response strategy.
• Draft, review, and revise legal correspondence, agreements, releases, notices, and other litigation documents.
• Assist in improving legal operations, standardizing processes, and enhancing matter management practices.
• Track and help manage litigation budgets, reserves, and related financial information.

Required profile

• Licensed attorney with 1‑4 years of litigation experience.
• Ability to manage high‑volume, multi‑jurisdictional caseloads.
• Strong analytical, research, and written communication skills.
• Experience coordinating with outside counsel and handling billing reviews.
