Corporate Controller

About the role

MyTime, a scheduling, payments and automated marketing platform for multi-location chains and franchises, is hiring a Corporate Controller in Los Angeles. The role combines finance, HR and vendor management: it starts as an individual contributor and, as the company grows, offers the chance to build a team around you.

Key responsibilities

• Finance: own the full-stack accounting cycle, run monthly and quarterly closes, prepare financial statements and investor reports, and manage budgets and projections
• Track expenses and revenue, including modeling revenue recognition for SaaS revenue streams
• Prepare KPI reports and communicate regularly with investors, business partners and stakeholders
• HR: handle onboarding, offboarding, benefits selection, semi-monthly payroll and regulatory compliance across multiple states, working with the payroll provider
• Organize team activities, plan events, manage office layout and design, and procure perks
• Vendor management: negotiate pricing, resolve disputes, evaluate and procure new vendors, and manage corporate insurance
• Develop scalable processes that improve company-wide efficiency

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in finance as a controller, accountant or similar, preferably in SaaS companies
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting; a CPA is a plus but not required
• Ability to work autonomously, juggle project-based and recurring work, and switch between accounting, analysis and team coordination
• Detail-oriented, organized and process-driven, with experience in fast-moving tech companies or startups strongly preferred
