Corporate Controller

About the role

The Corporate Controller will lead all accounting operations for Latitude 33 Aviation, a private jet charter and management company. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with aviation regulations, and provides insight for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely and high‑quality reporting.
• Develop, monitor and update annual budgets and financial forecasts at both corporate and departmental levels.
• Analyze financial performance and present recommendations to executive leadership.
• Review aircraft owner statements, track flight revenue, charter income, fuel sales, hangar rentals and maintenance service revenue.
• Produce bi‑monthly trip profitability reports and annual aircraft profit‑and‑loss statements.
• Maintain inventory accounting for aircraft parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring proper cost allocation.
• Coordinate external audits, tax filings and regulatory reporting with external accounting partners.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure policy compliance.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate accounting staff.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting or finance leadership, preferably within the aviation or transportation sector.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams such as Maintenance, Flight Operations and Marketing.
