Core Application Developer II

About the role

The Core Application Developer II is a mid‑entry level systems application developer responsible for designing, coding, testing, and supporting banking applications primarily on the I‑Series AS400 platform.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using RPG, SQL RPG, CL, and integrate with Fiserv Signature via Fiserv Communicator.
• Create and update architecture, design, and data flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including unit testing, documentation, and change management.
• Provide tier 1 and 2 technical support and troubleshoot daily issues.
• Lead requirements analysis and design for smaller projects and mentor junior developers.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of banking experience with I‑Series AS400 development.
• Experience with Fiserv Signature core banking software.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate clearly, and follow PMO governance processes.

Required skills

• RPG, SQL RPG, CL programming.
• Familiarity with Fiserv Signature and Fiserv Communicator.
• Microsoft Visio for diagramming.
• Automation, unit testing, PowerShell scripting.
• Relational database modeling and SQL query writing.
