About the role

The Coordinator, Honors and Undergraduate Research supports student engagement in the Honors College and the university’s undergraduate research initiatives. Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Honors Student Programs and Undergraduate Research, the role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective and current students seeking honors or research opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front‑line communication and assistance to students interested in the Honors program and undergraduate research.
• Coordinate and promote honors‑related events, workshops, and research opportunities.
• Maintain records of student participation, applications, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to align activities with the university’s strategic plan for undergraduate research.
• Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation required by the Honors College.

Required profile

• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work onsite in Commerce, Texas.
• Willingness to handle confidential student information.
