Controls Engineering Manager

About the role

Dematic is seeking a Controls Engineering Manager to lead a team of project execution engineers within the Lifecycle Solutions and Services Project Engineering group. The role focuses on tactical project execution, team capability growth, and cross‑disciplinary alignment.

Key responsibilities

• Own project performance and outcomes for the direct engineering team, ensuring quality, on‑time delivery and cost targets.
• Provide coaching, guidance and performance evaluation, driving talent development and continuous improvement.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, staffing decisions and utilization across multiple projects.
• Participate in pre‑sale technical reviews and assess technical, cost and schedule risks before execution.
• Promote a Safety‑First culture, strong integrity, communication and collaboration within the team.

Required profile

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of engineering management or people leadership experience in material handling or logistics automation.
• Proven ability to lead remote, office and customer‑site teams.
• Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills.

Required skills

• Controls equipment competency.
• Experience with CAD design software, preferably AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Dematic’s CET Designer Software (Maestro) is a plus.
