Controller – Finance Leader in Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

The Controller will lead core accounting operations and ensure the integrity of financial reporting within an aerospace manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, this position oversees month‑end close, cost accounting, treasury, and accounts receivable while driving budgeting and forecasting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close, journal entries, balance‑sheet analysis and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Own corporate reporting deliverables (MMR, MOR, CER) with accurate narratives and analytics.
• Co‑lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and perform variance analysis with operational leaders.
• Oversee inventory valuation, standard cost structures and manufacturing cost‑driver analysis.
• Develop complex accrual methodologies, including warranty reserves.
• Manage treasury functions, cash accounting, bank reconciliations and cash positioning.
• Supervise accounts receivable, credit assessments and collections.
• Partner with operations, engineering and sales to translate financial data into actionable insights.
• Drive ERP (IFS) and reporting tool automation to improve efficiency and data integrity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Manufacturing industry experience, preferably in a public company or public‑accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory control and US GAAP.
• Excellent analytical, communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing deadlines.
