Contracts Specialist (Federal Contracting)

About the role

CACI is seeking an experienced federal contracting professional to provide full-spectrum acquisition and contracting support to the Acquisition Management & Integration Center (AMIC) contracting officers at Joint Base Langley-Eustis (JBLE). The role suits a former GS-1102, Contracting Officer or Contract Specialist comfortable working with a limited warrant in a fast-paced, mission-driven DoD environment. It is a regular, full-time position with no travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver federal contracting support alongside AMIC contracting officers, from planning and market research to contract formation, administration and closeout.
• Draft and maintain acquisition and contract documents, and conduct cost/price analysis.
• Prepare determinations, justifications, synopses, solicitations and price negotiation memoranda.
• Review contractor technical and cost proposals and document evaluation findings.
• Manage cradle-to-grave contract administration, contract writing systems, file documentation and electronic records.
• Support milestone development and adherence to acquisition timelines.
• Work with CORs, program managers, security teams, budget analysts, resource advisors and engineers.
• Manage contract closeout and provide analysis, recommendations and process improvements.

Required profile

• Active, current DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• More than five years of relevant contracting experience.
• Experience exercising a limited contracting officer warrant of no less than $1M.
• Professional, polished writing skills.
• Bachelor's degree desired.
