Contracts Specialist (Construction & Procurement)

About the role

The Contracts Specialist will provide owner‑side contracts and procurement support throughout construction and the transition to operations at the Hermosa Project near Patagonia, Arizona. This intermediate‑level position leads end‑to‑end procurement and contracting for construction, equipment, materials and services, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule and South32 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute contracting and procurement strategies that match project requirements and timelines.
• Manage the full procurement lifecycle for construction, equipment, materials and services.
• Ensure all activities comply with South32 governance frameworks, policies and values.
• Maintain commercial compliance, cost control, schedule alignment and contractor performance.
• Oversee contract administration, management and close‑out processes.

Required profile

• Intermediate‑level experience in contracts and procurement, preferably within construction or mining projects.
• Ability to work strictly within established standards, governance and policy frameworks.
• Strong focus on commercial compliance, cost control and schedule adherence.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
