General Trades Technician – Maintenance (Level 2)

Key responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electric/electronic power systems, HVAC, refrigeration units, plumbing fixtures, and related equipment.
• Supervise state inmate workers and other staff while ensuring safety procedures are followed.
• Handle physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and working from ladders or heights.

Required profile

• High school diploma/GED plus at least one year of experience in building repairs and maintenance, or two years of relevant experience.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license and ability to pass criminal background and drug screening.
• Experience diagnosing maintenance and repair problems across multiple trades.
