Facilities Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports the Nestlé Nutrition Fremont site by maintaining, repairing, and installing equipment and building systems. Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, you will ensure a safe, reliable, and high‑quality environment for production and office operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, installations, and repairs on electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Respond to after‑hours emergencies on a rotating schedule, containing issues with minimal facility impact.
• Document work orders, maintain equipment records, and follow Nestlé standards for documentation.
• Assist with office relocations, including teardown, setup, and furniture installation.
• Utilize equipment manuals, safety data sheets, schematics, and P&ID drawings to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of general maintenance experience covering electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
• Detail‑oriented, able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment with strong communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with Card Access (Honeywell), CCTV, and Building Management Systems (Johnson Controls, Tritium) is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift or move objects up to 100 lb and work at heights on ladders.
