Contractor Sales Representative

About the role

IKO Metals, part of IKO Industries Ltd., a Canadian-owned manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is looking for a Contractor Sales Representative for the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas territory. The role suits a new graduate or junior salesperson and is designed to train them for a Territory Sales position within two years. Work is done in an outside sales environment and home office.

Key responsibilities

• Support sales daily across the territory and grow sales and market share by generating demand with contractors, builders and architects
• Develop new and existing contractor and builder relationships and increase IKO specifications with architects, project managers and consultants
• Organize and execute a business plan meeting territory goals, and become an expert in IKO Metals products and programs
• Call on contractors, builders and architects 90% of the time, present products and run product demonstrations and education sessions
• Work with outside sales reps, local TSR and DSM, and use approved sales and marketing resources
• Analyze and report sales data, follow up leads and conduct prospect calls

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Management or Marketing preferred
• Previous experience in the building products industry and/or in B2B sales or sales coordination
• Good judgment, initiative, ability to prioritize multiple tasks and strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills; self-starter who works collaboratively
• Good driving record, flexibility for nights and weekends, and willingness to relocate

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Data analysis techniques and technologies
