Contract Cath Lab Technician (Day Shift, Denver)

About the role

AdventHealth in Denver is hiring a flexible contract Cardiovascular Intervasive Laboratory Specialist (CILS) I for day shifts, 36-40 hours per week over a 13-week contract. The specialist performs technical skills during cardiovascular, electrophysiology and interventional radiology procedures and works in two of the three procedural roles (scrub, circulate, monitor). The pay rate is $95.20 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic coronary, electrophysiology, interventional radiology and peripheral diagnostic and/or interventional procedures
• Take call as rotated or assigned and respond in the hospital per policy
• Perform waived and/or non-waived point-of-care testing when required, with documented competency
• Write accurate, complete medical records for each patient

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience; lab experience in cardiovascular, electrophysiology, interventional radiology or peripheral areas preferred
• Conversational English reading, writing and speaking
• Required licenses: BLS, ACLS, and one of RRT, RCIS, RCES, licensed paramedic or CST

Required skills

• ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation
• Cardiovascular and vascular anatomy, hemodynamic monitoring
• Monitoring blood pressure, ECG and pulse oximetry
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
• Preferred: electrophysiology, interventional radiology, peripheral and interventional cardiology knowledge
