Construction Superintendent

About the role

Protingent is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day‑to‑day field operations for a client in Merritt Island, FL. This contract position oversees all on‑site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily construction activities and field personnel.
• Supervise subcontractors, trade crews, and ensure work aligns with plans and specifications.
• Develop, monitor, and adjust project schedules; proactively resolve delays.
• Enforce OSHA safety protocols and conduct daily site inspections.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment logistics, and resource allocation.
• Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Maintain daily logs, progress reports, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Project Managers on budgets, change orders, and scheduling.
• Resolve on‑site issues, manage punch lists, and oversee project closeout.

Required profile

• 5+ years of construction supervision experience in commercial or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain).
• Proven leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Physical ability to work on active sites, walk, stand, climb, and lift up to 50 lb.
