Construction Superintendent

About the role

Our client, a well‑established commercial general contractor in the Dallas‑Fort Worth market, is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead on‑site activities for ground‑up commercial projects valued between $10M and $20M. The role demands a hands‑on leader who prioritises safety, quality, and schedule adherence while coordinating field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all on‑site construction activities from mobilization through final completion.
• Develop and maintain the project schedule in partnership with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
• Ensure work complies with contract documents, specifications, and quality standards.
• Enforce company safety policies and maintain OSHA compliance.
• Conduct daily site inspections, identify issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead subcontractor coordination meetings and daily planning sessions.
• Manage inspections with local authorities and facilitate owner, architect, and engineer visits.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material deliveries to keep the project on schedule.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and project closeout documentation.
• Mentor Assistant Superintendents and foster a collaborative jobsite culture.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a commercial general contractor.
• Proven track record managing ground‑up commercial projects valued $10M–$20M.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, and scheduling.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
