Construction Representative – Water/Wastewater

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Representative specialized in water and wastewater projects to oversee field work, ensure compliance with plans and specifications, and support the successful delivery of construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Measure distances to verify dimensions for structural installations and layouts.
• Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations.
• Observe work in progress to ensure procedures and materials conform to specifications and submittals.
• Examine workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards.
• Interpret plans and specifications, discuss deviations with engineers, contractors, or owners.
• Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods.
• Maintain a daily log of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports.
• Compute monthly estimates of work completed and review contractor payments.
• Prepare sketches of installations that deviate from plans and report changes for record drawings.
• Monitor contractor work schedules, coordinate with testing laboratories, and request necessary testing.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills and dedication to timely project completion.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
• Positive attitude, problem‑solving skills, and composure under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and reliable attendance.
• Willingness to engage in self‑development and assume increased responsibilities.
• Strong ethical decision‑making, confidentiality, and integrity.
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable record.
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday, 8 am‑5 pm with overtime as needed.
