Construction Program Manager, Architecture

About the role

The Airport Design & Construction department seeks a Construction Program Manager with a focus on architectural and tenant‑improvement programs. You will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects that enhance the passenger experience across San Diego International Airport.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee architectural and tenant‑improvement construction programs from concept through close‑out.
• Coordinate with construction partners, engineering teams, and airport operations to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Conduct regular site visits across the airport campus to monitor progress, safety, and quality.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
• Facilitate collaboration between internal stakeholders and external contractors.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in construction program management, preferably within an airport or large‑scale infrastructure environment.
• Strong understanding of architectural design, tenant‑improvement processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work both on‑site and remotely in a hybrid schedule.
