Configuration Engineer II

About the role

Applied Materials seeks a Configuration Engineer II to manage engineering documentation, change orders, and data within its product development environment. The role supports both prototype and production activities while ensuring data integrity across systems.

Key responsibilities

• Review, maintain, control, and release Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Engineering Procurement (eCart) documents, including drawings, BOMs, and specifications.
• Manage master files in the Product Data Management (PDM) system and ensure accurate records.
• Maintain master data in the ERP system, creating and updating material masters, BOMs, and change masters.
• Oversee CAD data promotion in Pro/Intralink to align PDM and CAD repositories.
• Provide training and support to the engineering community for Number Book, eCart, and ECO processes.

Required profile

• Demonstrates expanded conceptual knowledge in engineering documentation and data management.
• Understands key business drivers and applies them to daily tasks.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members.

Required skills

• Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
• Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
• Knowledge of CAD data promotion tools such as Pro/Intralink.
• Familiarity with Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
