Concrete Estimator

About the role

The Commercial Estimator works closely with the Preconstruction Manager to prepare, evaluate, and submit concrete proposals for residential and commercial projects. This office‑based role involves frequent communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams to support bid procurement and business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Retrieve, review, and organize bidding documents (plans, specifications, addenda) for projects.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs for concrete, rebar, formwork and related materials using estimating software such as ProEst.
• Develop unit pricing, incorporating labor, materials, equipment, overhead, indirect costs and profit.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals and integrate them into estimates.
• Prepare comprehensive estimate packages with job notes, proposals, vendor quotes, schedules and specifications.
• Maintain bid logs, tracking systems and ensure timely review and approval of estimates.

Required profile

• 3+ years of estimating experience in construction, preferably concrete.
• Proficiency reading and interpreting plans, specifications and engineering details.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
