Computer Scientist Co-op – Agentic & Augmented Authoring Systems

About the role

The Future Talent Program offers a six‑month co‑op where you will help build an agentic, augmented authoring system for Nonclinical Drug Safety, aiming for a “zero‑draft” reporting process.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement agentic workflows and orchestration pipelines to automate retrieval, synthesis, and formatting of nonclinical safety data.
• Develop robust Python data‑extraction pipelines for structured, semi‑structured, and unstructured scientific sources.
• Evaluate and benchmark LLM outputs for accuracy and template compliance.
• Collaborate with data scientists and scientific SMEs to translate manual authoring steps into automated agent tools.
• Participate in agile sprints, code reviews, and maintain production‑grade documentation on GitHub.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Software Engineering, or a highly quantitative research field.
• Strong Python programming skills with emphasis on clean, modular, well‑documented code.
• Hands‑on experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, or LlamaIndex.
• Ability to work with noisy, unstructured data and strong analytical/problem‑solving abilities.
