About the role

Columbia-Greene Community College seeks a tenure‑track faculty member to teach and develop courses in Computer Science, with a preference for expertise in cybersecurity and data science. The role supports a diverse student body in a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Update and develop program and course curricula, incorporating current teaching methodologies and technologies.
• Teach a range of computer science courses such as programming, data structures, algorithms, and systems, including online or evening sections.
• Assist with student learning outcome creation and assessment, and mentor students in research, internships, or capstone projects.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and local businesses to enhance instruction and student success.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
• At least one year of college‑level teaching experience in computer science.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for students of diverse backgrounds.

What we offer

• Starting salary of $51,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
