Computer Client Support Technician

About the role

We are seeking a Computer Client Support Technician to provide administration and management assistance for AFSOC's networks. The role involves configuration management, maintenance, and troubleshooting of NIPR, SIPR, and TS client workstations.

Key responsibilities

• Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for end‑users, both onsite and remotely.
• System Setup and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain computers, routers, printers, and servers.
• Help Desk Management: Process A2 help‑desk tickets, log problems and resolutions, and ensure timely response.
• Documentation and Knowledge Base: Create and maintain troubleshooting guides and a shared knowledge repository.
• User Training: Conduct training sessions to help users effectively operate software and hardware.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT staff and other departments, escalating issues when necessary.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT field.
• Current DoD 8570.01‑M (or equivalent) certification.
• At least 5 years of recent IT experience, including technical assistance for Windows and Linux environments.
• Minimum 2 years recent experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, VMWare, and Linux server software.
• Experience with geospatial applications and intelligence‑related automation is desired.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for assisting non‑technical users.
