Compliance Manager (Remote)

About the role

Rula is seeking a collaborative, detail‑oriented compliance professional to strengthen its compliance program by overseeing medical records operations and coordinating external audits. Reporting to the Director of Compliance, you will work closely with Legal, Privacy, Clinical, Financial Operations, Partnerships and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day medical records activities and ensure accurate release‑of‑information processes.
• Oversee vendor and team performance, including third‑party medical records fulfillment vendors.
• Manage external audits from intake through findings and remediation closure.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to translate regulatory requirements into practical, sustainable processes.

Required profile

• 3+ years managing or coordinating external audits or regulatory reviews.
• 5+ years in healthcare privacy, medical records, or health information management.
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, health information management, compliance or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and experience collaborating with legal and other stakeholders.
