Community Supervision Officer (Level 1) – State of Georgia

About the role

The Department of Community Supervision (DCS) of the State of Georgia is seeking a Community Supervision Officer (Level 1) to join its hybrid workforce in the Rockdale Circuit (Conyers). This position combines law‑enforcement duties with community‑focused case management to support individuals under parole and probation supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload, develop and implement individualized case plans.
• Conduct community surveillance and enforce parole/probation conditions.
• Investigate violations and prepare detailed reports.
• Provide referrals and link clients to community resources.
• Maintain accurate case files, including background checks, DNA testing, drug testing, fingerprinting, and other documentation.
• Wear uniform, badge, and department‑issued firearm while performing duties.

Required profile

• Eligibility for a law‑enforcement position in the State of Georgia.
• Ability to work in a hybrid (virtual and in‑person) environment.
• Strong judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to adhere to department policies, including uniform and firearm requirements.
