Farsi Linguist CAT III

About the role

Valiant Integrated Services is seeking experienced Farsi linguists to provide interpretation, transcription, and translation support for U.S. operations and mission requirements in challenging environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate consecutive translation, transcription, and interpretation between Farsi and English, including colloquial and slang expressions.
• Analyze, scan, and research foreign language documents and provide cultural and ethnic context for statements and situations.
• Travel and work in austere environments, adhering to security and health requirements.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a TS/SCI clearance (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Native‑level proficiency in Farsi and English (ILR Level 3/3 preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of Farsi culture and prior experience working in the region.
• Ability to meet physical and medical fitness standards for deployment.

Required skills

• Fluent speaking and writing in both Farsi and English.
• Experience translating and interpreting Farsi to English and vice versa.
• Understanding of standard dialects and regional vocabulary without need for paraphrasing.
