Community Pharmacy Manager

About the role

Genoa Healthcare, a pharmacy care services company within Optum and UnitedHealth Group, is hiring a Pharmacy Manager for its on-site pharmacy in Waxahachie, Texas. The manager advises consumers and clinic partners on pharmaceutical care services and benefits, and is responsible for the financial, clinical and quality aspects of pharmacy services. The role oversees daily pharmacy operations, including dispensing prescription medication and spending one-on-one time with consumers, and involves coaching, developing and managing pharmacy staff.

Key responsibilities

• Create a positive experience for consumers and clinic partners and build strong relationships with both groups
• Act as an expert to clinical staff and meet regularly with the team on clinical outcomes
• Counsel and educate patients on medication use, adverse effects, schedules and personal questions
• Ensure the pharmacy and team follow policies and standards in line with state and federal laws
• Perform wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots and other preventive services
• Drive financial profitability and identify growth opportunities for the pharmacy
• Motivate, develop and coach pharmacy staff, and create an engaging, compassionate team environment
• Recruit top talent, review key performance indicators with staff and conduct workforce and business planning
• Build relationships with the community, stakeholders and clinic partners, and drive marketing plans and materials

Required profile

• Current pharmacist's license in the state of Texas
• Certified immunizer, or willing to become one within 3 months of hire
• Willingness to administer long-acting injectables
• Preferred: leadership experience and 2+ years of pharmacy experience

What we offer

• Salary ranging from $112,700 to $193,200 annually for full-time employment

• Work hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with lunch from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM
