About the role
The Community Manager will oversee the daily operations of a Greystar‑managed property in Somerset, NJ. Reporting to senior management, you will lead the on‑site team, ensure financial targets are met, and maintain compliance with all housing regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage the property budget, analyzing financial statements and market data.
- Set rent rates, collect payments, process bank deposits, and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Approve vendor invoices, verify insurance certificates, and coordinate with accounting.
- Control expenditures, manage petty‑cash, and ensure spending stays within budget.
- Oversee lease enforcement, including application approvals, renewals, inspections, evictions, and fee collection.
- Monitor market and economic trends to create short‑ and long‑term leasing strategies.
- Promote resident satisfaction and retention through effective communication and service.
Required profile
- Experience in property or community management, preferably in multifamily housing.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and related regulations.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, financial reporting, and vendor relationships.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
