About the role
Greystar is launching Costa Vista, a new student‑living community in Santa Cruz, CA, scheduled to open in August 2027. The Community & Operations Director will lead day‑to‑day operations, build a residence‑life program from the ground up, and ensure a high‑quality living experience for 647 residents.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all on‑site operations, including team management, customer service, and student satisfaction initiatives.
- Develop and manage the property budget, set rent rates, collect fees, and prepare monthly financial reports.
- Design and implement residence‑life programming that supports student success and aligns with college partners.
- Ensure compliance with Greystar, college, and university policies and procedures.
- Lead strategic housing initiatives and coordinate closely with Cabrillo College and UC‑Santa Cruz stakeholders.
Required profile
- Proven experience in on‑campus and off‑campus student housing management.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with higher‑education institutions.
- Track record of delivering student‑success programs and managing large‑scale residential operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
