Community & Events Associate

About the role

Collider is looking for a Community & Events Associate to keep the office space welcoming, run smooth events, and support the member community. The role blends front‑desk duties, event coordination and day‑to‑day operations, and is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to contribute to high‑impact work in AI safety and global risk reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily office operations: front‑desk coverage, visitor check‑in, mail, deliveries, vendor coordination and keeping shared spaces stocked and presentable.
• Plan and execute events: respond to requests, maintain the events calendar, set up and break down workshops, talks, dinners and coordinate catering, AV and other logistics.
• Support member journey: maintain onboarding/offboarding checklists, gather community feedback, run monthly member spotlights and track community metrics.

Required profile

• Genuine warmth with people, remembering names and details so visitors feel welcomed.
• Strong operational instincts; nothing falls through the cracks and logistics run smoothly.
• Comfort with tactical, unglamorous tasks such as last‑minute supply runs or troubleshooting AV equipment.
• Clear communicator who keeps teammates informed and surfaces issues early.
• Discretion and good judgment handling sensitive information.
