Community & Economic Development Advisor (Senior)

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking a Community and Economic Development (CED) Advisor or Senior Advisor to lead quantitative research on affordable housing and related policy issues affecting low‑ and moderate‑income populations in the Sixth District. This position supports the Bank’s mission of stable prices and maximum employment by generating actionable insights for housing stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and conduct quantitative research on affordable housing topics.
• Produce written reports for the Department’s Discussion Papers, short‑form publications, and academic journals.
• Develop an annual research agenda aligned with the CED mission and strategy.
• Translate research findings into actionable insights for community and housing stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with researchers, practitioners, and internal Bank staff.
• Monitor affordable‑housing trends in the Sixth District and brief Bank leadership on emerging issues.
• Present research findings at external conferences, seminars, and internal meetings.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in quantitative research related to affordable housing or housing policy.
• Strong written communication skills for producing reports and academic papers.
• Ability to convey complex research findings to diverse audiences.
• Experience collaborating with economists, policymakers, and community partners.
