Communications Coordinator – Luxury Hospitality & Design

About the role

Carfrae Consulting is seeking an experienced Communications Coordinator to support luxury hospitality, design, and lifestyle clients. The role is full‑time, based in New York City, and requires on‑site collaboration with senior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior staff in day‑to‑day client management and 360° communications strategies across multiple accounts.
• Develop press strategies, pitch stories, and secure placements in national, regional, and digital outlets.
• Handle inbound press requests, conduct background research, and deliver assets to meet editorial deadlines.
• Maintain and expand media databases for various industries and clients.
• Coordinate with external agencies and compile reports for global client events.
• Track media coverage (print, digital, social) and produce regular reporting packages.
• Prepare meeting agendas, notes, and action items for senior leadership.
• Identify and engage key opinion leaders through gifting and hosting strategies.
• Support experiential event logistics, from concept to post‑event reporting.

Required profile

• Proven agency experience in communications, public relations, or marketing.
• Strong editorial understanding and knowledge of the media landscape.
• Focus on luxury hospitality, design, and lifestyle sectors.
• Full‑time availability and willingness to work on‑site in New York City.
