Commissioning Engineer

About the role

Join Element Logic as a Commissioning Engineer to bring advanced warehouse automation systems to life. You will work hands‑on with controls, robotics, conveyors and system integrations, ensuring high‑performance solutions are installed, tested and ready for customer operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration and commissioning of automated material handling systems, including conveyors, motor controls, robotics and warehouse automation equipment.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, procedures and protocols, and conduct system testing, validation and debugging.
• Review technical drawings, electrical schematics and project documentation to ensure compliance with design requirements.
• Develop, modify and troubleshoot PLC‑based control systems and HMI applications.
• Provide on‑site and remote technical support during startup, commissioning and post‑go‑live phases.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in controls engineering, automation or commissioning of industrial systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechatronics or controls engineering or a related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time, including international travel, with a valid driver’s license and passport.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, work at heights and in varying industrial environments while wearing required PPE.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PLC‑based control systems and industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, EtherCAT, Profibus).
• Experience with HMI systems, Beckhoff TwinCAT, OPC.NET and MS SQL Server.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical layouts and use AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Knowledge of conveyors, sortation systems, robotics and industrial PCs running Windows.
