Commissioning Agent

About the role

The Commissioning Agent will lead commissioning, retro‑commissioning, and monitoring‑based commissioning projects for Bureau Veritas Architecture & Engineering. The role involves managing projects from concept through construction, interfacing with clients, contractors, and facility staff, and delivering documented confirmation that facilities meet performance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the commissioning authority, reviewing designs, providing comments, and developing commissioning plans.
• Conduct commissioning meetings, review submittals, verify installation and functional performance of HVAC, building automation, lighting control, plumbing hot‑water and other systems.
• Develop pre‑functional test procedures, oversee functional testing, and produce final commissioning reports.
• Oversee contractor‑provided operator training, warranty phase follow‑up, and ensure compliance with documented criteria.

Required profile

• Accredited professional engineering degree (preferred) with at least 5 years of construction experience and 5+ years in commissioning.
• Accredited commissioning certification (CxA, CCP, or BCxP) and a clean driver’s license.
• Ability to travel up to 30% to client sites and work safely in mechanical/electrical spaces.

Required skills

• Proficiency with commissioning software such as Facility Grid and CxAlloy.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, building automation, lighting control, and plumbing systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and overall Microsoft Office suite.
