About the role

Lanier Technical College is seeking a part‑time Commercial Truck Driving Lab Assistant for its Hall Campus. The role supports the truck‑driving program by assisting instructors, maintaining the lab environment, and ensuring student safety.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate student progress under instructor supervision.
• Maintain supplies, equipment, and safety standards in the training area.
• Meet with students, staff, and educators to discuss instructional programs and related issues.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certificate of completion from a Commercial Truck Driving (CTD) training program.
• Current Class A Commercial Driver’s License with a violation‑free MVR record for the past three years.
• At least one year of over‑the‑road experience and three years of recent full‑time commercial truck driving experience.

Required skills

• Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Computer operation for work‑related tasks.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $26.
• Flexible day and evening hours, up to 29 hours per week while classes are in session.
