Commercial Insurance Account Manager – Real Estate & Hospitality

About the role

McGriff, a division of Marsh McLennan Agency, is hiring a Commercial Insurance Account Manager for its Real Estate and Hospitality (REH) Commercial Lines team in Raleigh. The team works exclusively on REH and supports clients nationwide, managing portfolios averaging above $1 million in annual premiums. The role involves building and maintaining client and carrier relationships and helping clients with administration, billing, claims and problem solving.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships
• Assist clients and teammates with questions on administration, billing, claims and problem solving
• Monitor and manage the renewal process for assigned clients
• Analyze and recommend coverage needs, prepare marketing information and help implement coverage
• Create premium allocations and schedule and conduct meetings
• Prepare and deliver forms to clients and attend seminars, classes and carrier meetings to stay up to date on products and legislation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training
• 3+ years of commercial insurance experience, with a track record of growth and measurable client success
• Property and Casualty insurance license
• Exceptional client relations skills, including strategic communication, service excellence and problem solving
• A plus: advanced degree or professional designation (e.g. CPCU, ARM), RFP management experience, and a background in a specialized vertical

Required skills

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency with CRM and management systems
