Commercial HVAC Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking a journey‑level Commercial HVAC Service Technician to serve customers in Port Townsend, Bremerton, Poulsbo, and Sequim. The role offers competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, and a stable, team‑oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, air handling, hydronic, and boiler systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues on‑site, perform safe repairs, start up equipment, test for leaks, recharge refrigerant, and conduct preventive maintenance.
• Measure, cut, and connect piping using brazing and welding methods; read blueprints and job specifications.
• Provide professional customer support, communicate with dispatch, and prepare accurate service notes and estimates.
• Mentor apprentices and assist with specialty refrigeration assignments.

Required profile

• Trade certification and OSHA 10 (OSHA 30 preferred).
• 4‑5 years of hands‑on HVAC or related mechanical service experience.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills with a customer‑facing mindset.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• HVAC, refrigeration, air handling, hydronic, and boiler system service.
• Brazing and welding piping connections.
• Reading blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.
• Use of diagnostic tools for motors, controls, gauges, valves, pumps, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators, and compressors.
