Commercial HVAC Installer

About the role

DWC Mechanical is expanding its Tampa operation and is hiring experienced Commercial HVAC Installers for year-round commercial work. Key responsibilities

• Install commercial HVAC equipment and systems according to plans, specifications, manufacturer requirements and code.
• Install round and rectangular ductwork, gas lines, condensate lines and related components, plus controls, wiring and accessories.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings and job requirements.
• Complete installations from startup through project completion, identifying field issues and material needs.
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, technicians, subcontractors, inspectors and customers.
• Assist with inspections, documentation and project closeout, and maintain tools, equipment and vehicles.
• Follow safety policies and site procedures; depending on experience, guide less-experienced installers.

Required profile

• Previous HVAC installation experience, preferably commercial.
• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and installation practices.
• Ability to read plans and drawings, troubleshoot and work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Preferred: EPA 608 and OSHA 10 certifications, trade school or apprenticeship training, and experience leading installers or running parts of commercial projects.
