Commercial Furniture Sales Representative

About the role

This is a sales role built for someone who wants to own the Houston architecture and design community. You will be the go-to contact for architecture and design (A&D) firms, turning relationships into specified commercial furniture business. The role suits both designers moving into sales and experienced reps already selling into this market, and rewards relationship-building and consultative selling.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and build relationships with architecture and interior design firms across the Houston market
• Present and sell commercial furniture solutions tailored to client and project needs
• Partner with the design and furniture teams to develop proposals and packages
• Manage the full sales cycle, from first contact through specification and close
• Attend industry events, AIA/IIDA functions and networking opportunities to build the firm's presence in the A&D community
• Maintain a healthy pipeline and accurate forecasting in CRM
• Stay current on furniture trends, finishes and competitive offerings

Required profile

• Background in interior design, architecture or commercial furniture sales (any path welcome)
• Existing relationships within the Houston A&D community are a strong plus
• Confident, consultative sales style, comfortable presenting to designers, architects and end clients
• Self-motivated with strong follow-through and pipeline management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
