Commercial Credit Analyst – Equipment Finance

About the role

Altius Search Group is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to underwrite equipment finance transactions for a national lender. This remote position involves analyzing borrowers, preparing credit recommendations, and collaborating with sales and credit leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite commercial equipment finance deals by reviewing financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, credit reports, and collateral.
• Evaluate equipment loans, finance leases, capital leases, operating leases, sale‑leaseback transactions, and vendor finance programs.
• Assess equipment values, advance rates, borrower strength, and industry conditions to identify credit risks.
• Prepare concise credit memoranda and present recommendations to senior credit leadership or the credit committee.
• Maintain accurate credit files, monitor assigned transactions for adverse trends, and communicate credit concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Three to seven years of direct commercial equipment finance underwriting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong analytical skills in financial statement, cash‑flow, liquidity and collateral analysis.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word
• Experience using commercial credit or portfolio management systems

What we offer

• Base salary range $90,000–$105,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
